Outsourcing

Internet1I’m starting to get busier and my time is at a premium.

This turns out to be good on several levels. We’re all in business to make money, and it certainly is good for the ego to think there are people who value your services.

Being busy has forced me to find help for some of the jobs I don’t have time for and don’t have any talent for. I’m not sure why I insisted on trying to write copy for my website, even though it’s painful. (The process and the result).

When I made the decision, I referred to this blog post by Michael Hepworth, the Street Smart Marketer. It’s a comprehensive list of outsourcing sites. A couple of members of my E-Commerce Success Circle have used elance.com successfully.

Hiring a stranger can be intimidating, but you can start with a small job, to see how well you work together. Even though these sites often work on a bidding system, there’s no reason why you can’t award all your jobs to one person or team.

Which outsourcing sites have you used successfully?
