Technology is a Freeloader

Frustrated
Having wasted the better part of TWO HOURS yesterday downloading and installing the latest Blackberry Desktop utility, I can appreciate Alexys Fairfield’s blog post entitled "Technology is a Freeloader".

It’s a refreshing look at how we get taken in by "stuff".

Gotta go sync my Outlook/Google Calendar with my Blackberry. I may have new contacts too .. Is the damn thing charged? How much time does it take to maintain my time-saving devices anyway?

Don’t even get me started on how much the data plan for this thing costs .

What technology can`t you live without? How much time are you really saving?

The company I currently work for pays my blackberry bill and I also have unlimited data so that’s a nice thing. I can’t live without a cellphone though i don’t get many calls, but the ones I do get are always important.

I can’t live without my computer (for very long anyway). I went to the Dominican and I bought it with me, but I did not use it while I was there for 7 days. Think that’s the longest I have gone without using one of my geek gadgets.
